The magazine Outdoors puts out a list which names the best companies with outside jobs.1 Some of these offer real jobs working in the outdoors, and others involve working with outdoor sports equipment. Some of these jobs are a lot of fun, and they may also offer great benefits.

Many companies that provide opportunities to work outside and the best companies that manufacture and sell sports equipment or outdoor apparel. They primarily look for representatives who can also serve as consultants or independent contractors.

Oftentimes, you may also have an opportunity to work as a guide or as an instructor in one of these areas. Companies look for experience and passion about what you do, whether you have become an expert skier, a bike mechanic, a mountain climber, etc.

Looking at some of these companies and what they offer, you will quickly see that it can be pretty exciting. Intrepid Travel, for instance, gives tour guides to wild and exotic places and specializes in taking travelers “with a yearning to get off the beaten track,” their Website says.
