Send me an email or leave me a note in the comment section. Dear JobMonkey, I am a Stay at Home mom looking to earn some extra money, while still staying at home with my kids. Are you a number cruncher? An accountant, attorney or auditor with finely tuned oversight skills and a keen ability to, well, crunch numbers? If so, the federal government has a $350 billion budget to hire you. Not just yet, but several thousands of you, actually. According to MSNBC, the first jobs being handed out from the Stimulus Bill are not going to be for teachers, nurses, fire fighters or bridge builders. They are going to regulators who will oversee how the rest of the money in the nearly $1 trillion bill is being spent. With the White House and Democratic leaders in Congress under ...

But what if you are already talking to everyone you know (and everyone they know), regularly updating your profile on LinkedIn, attending networking parties, and participating in industry events … and yet you still haven’t found a job? How about this non-conventional networking idea: Volunteering? The personal and professional...

And they are motivating a lot of high school students (and college graduated career-changers, for that matter) to pursue technical education. What are the benefits of a two-year (or less) vocational-technical trai...

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today that the United States has reached its highest unemployment rate in 25 years: 8.1%.
