I majored in communications and would love to get a job in my field, but at this point, a steady salary is my number one priority. I’d also like to move up to Boston, where my boyfriend is going to graduate school, but do you...

A friend of mine works at a local winery here in the Seattle area. I always think, “that job is the coolest!” The people who visit the winery are always in a good mood…they show up to taste wine, for winery tours, and for summer concerts. Working at a winery has to be the exact opposite of working customer service at an airport where visitors are not always happy campers. But I digress… JobMonkey thinks you should check out a special job board highlighting the wine business. Also, take a look at our wine jobs content section for all kinds of industry info – job...

Unemployment may be skyrocketing, but there is one place that’s still hiring: Reality TV shows. This week, for example, the casting call is being put out by VHI1 and Sean P. Diddy Combs for the hip hop star’s newest reality TV show, “I Want To Work For Diddy 2.” The catch: contests are competing for a spot as Diddy’s personal assistant. Qualified applicants must be at least 21 years of age by June 2009 and possess a “whatever it takes” attitude. Not surprising for the reality TV genre, the ad specifically states that, “characters are welcome.” D...

That translates into 20 million blogging Americas, with 1.7 million profiting from their work in some way — and almost half a million earning their primary income from blogging. Wow. Penn also reports that as the number of bloggers has increased, there has been a seemingly inverse relationship to the number of journalists. Penn cites the numbe...
