July and August are prime times to work in the Alaska fishing industry. During these two months the salmon fisheries are in full swing. It is probably too late to get a job this summer in Bristol Bay (Region 5) as that season is a short six to seven week season and usually ends around the third week of July. But, plenty of jobs are still available in Region 1 (Southeast Alaska), Region 2 (Kenai Peninsula and Prince William Sound) and Region 3 (Kodiak).
