Tuesday Tips: A New Way to Use Facebook to Find a Job

If you are looking for a job, you know that these are turbulent times. It can be super depressing, when all you hear in the media are the hardship stories.
But the truth is, there are personal stories of triumph out there, too. You just have to know where to look. Finding inspiration just got a lot easier, thanks to CNN Money’s new Facebook group called Hired!
Hired! started out as a weekly column, which is how I came to find the CNN Money group. (Check out this awesome story about a fashion buyer who lost her company, but found a new calling — all in less than 6 months.)
With nearly 2,500 fans, this Hired! group is growing by leaps and bounds and is a great place to find some support and inspiration during your job search.

Social networks are the increasing forum in which is find opportunities in the work place. Networking both physical and online allow for the meeting of people that otherwise you would have never connected with. People tend to shy away from networking as they are not confident in meeting new people with uncertainties about common ground. Forget it, get out there and do it. Online networks make it even easier. Try LinkedIn as well.
