Oklahoma Casinos

In Oklahoma, casinos are highly regulated. This state only allows for Class II gaming, which means that casinos can have high-stakes bingo, as well as video terminals.

In 2003, a state-run casino also started, and non-profit organizations and educational institutions are now allowed to legally run raffles. However, gambling in casinos is still very strictly regulated, and casinos have to answer to the Oklahoma Gaming Commission.

This state's casinos are tribal-owned, and with nearby states offering bigger facilities and more varied games, government officials felt pressure to try new avenues to increase casino profit and popularity.
