In a commission based sales job, workers are paid a set percentage or a fixed rate based on the amount of revenue that is generated in every sale that they make. For example, a sales person may make 3% of the total sale amount. If they sold $1,000,000, they would make $30,000.  Or if they sell $10,000,000 worth of goods in a year, then that’s a $300,000 annual income! That’s a pretty good pay day right? Of course on the flip side, if you don’t sell anything, you don’t make anything. It’s a risky career to pursue, unless you’re good at sales.
