Six Figure Jobs in Finance

If you have an affinity for number and can think logically, you may be interested in a high-paying job in the financial sector. If you like working with statistics and probability, you may be drawn to the work of an actuary.

These are the people who have some influence over how much we pay for our auto and life insurance, since their job is to determine who likely it is that we will be involved in an accident or how long we will live.

Another option when you are looking at finance jobs is that of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a company. In this role, you are responsible for the economic well-being of the company. Good communication skills would be a valuable asset, since you would be interacting with subordinates as well as the company president or CEO.

The job of controller/financial manager can be a high salary career option. This position is all about preparing the kinds of financial reports that are essential to keeping a business running smoothly. If you like balance sheets and working with budgets, this may be the right career for you. The company controller also plays a key role in mergers and acquisitions for his or her employer.
