FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Online Employment Site, JobMonkey.com, Unveils Job Board and Re-designed Web Site
New Features and Navigation Make Recruiting for Seasonal Employees a Breeze
SEATTLE, WA - December 12, 2000 (INB) -- JobMonkey.com http://www.jobmonkey.com has gone live with a new job board and a new look and feel to its website, making it even easier to post and search for the coolest jobs on earth.
Sporting a fresh home page and easier navigation, JobMonkey offers customers quick access to search for cool jobs. Once users register at the job center, they can set up a personal profile including his resume and preferences on positions, industries and locations for employment. From there, jobseekers can search for jobs or search for companies by industry, location and keyword. The users can then send their profile to the company in which they are interested.
Seasonal employers who post jobs will be able to create a company profile along with their job postings. The company profile has links to all open positions that the company has posted. The employer will also have quick access to statistics on how often their job is viewed and who has applied for it. The employers will also have the added option to search resumes of the job seekers.
Along with all the features of a great job board, JobMonkey has more than 2,000 pages of proprietary content to inform job seekers about the unique industries covered on the site. A few of the industries included are ski and beach resorts, state and national parks, adventure travel organizations, airlines and cruise lines.
Seasonal employers including ski resorts, amusement parks and resort areas in general have been facing a serious problem of an immense labor shortage over the last few seasons. This inability to recruit employees is having a significant impact on these companies' bottom lines. The problem goes much deeper than just having higher recruiting expenses. Many companies are having to limit their operations. Others are operating at service levels lower than the company prefers which is potentially damaging their reputation and goodwill.
Having been a destination for the seasonal jobseeker for more than a year, JobMonkey knows that there are many people who are interested in finding a unique summer or seasonal job opportunity, but don't know how to find them. These jobseekers are more than just college students. Many of these interested people are recent grads or career professionals who need a short term adventure before they head into (or back to) a traditional career job. JobMonkey creates an informative and fun website that can bring these jobseekers and employers together.
The people behind JobMonkey http://www.jobmonkey.com have been publishing books and resource manuals on finding summer seasonal or year-round jobs in unique industries for more than 15 years. Since its founding in 1999, JobMonkey has helped thousands of adventurous job seekers get information on these hard to find, cool jobs. The service is entirely free for job seekers.
