The first step in finding a job is to register with JobMonkey and upload your resume or profile. This will allow you to search and apply for jobs online and will allow potential employers to contact you when they have a position you're right for. It is most important that you fill out your Profile after you register. This is the information that an employer receives when you apply for a job. Be sure to include all your contact information and your past experience. Without this information, an employer cannot even consider hiring you.
By registering, you will also be able to search the Companies' profiles. You will want to click on the "Companies" tab at the top of the page after you log-in. These profiles will give you important contact information and a description of the company and a link to all their jobs posted. As a JobMonkey registered jobseeker, you may also receive information on new jobs posted and new employer profiles as they come available. You may also simply jump in and search for jobs at any time at our Preview Jobs page, but to apply to many of the jobs, you will need to register first. If you already have an account, log in to search for jobs and view or edit your profile and resume. You can update your profile as often as you want and should do it as your information changes. it's free and can be done in minutes. International Work JobMonkey features employers from all around the world, however, each employer has their specific hiring requirements, and all countries have their own visa laws. Therefore it is important that you read all the requirements from each employer and only apply for the job if you qualify. It is not productive to apply
for a job in a particular location if you are not legally eligible to work there. At this time, JobMonkey does not help people acquire visas for any country. We will continue to research and provide as much information on these items as possible in the future. Non-US Citizens
If you are a non-US citizen trying to gain employment in the U.S. please be aware that in most cases it is necessary for
non-US citizens to be students and to have either a J-1 Exchange Visitors' Visa or an F-1 Visa. (The J-1 allows for students' cultural exchange for work and travel, the F-1 allows for practical training). J-1 visas are available through a number of sponsoring agencies (Work Experience/Camp Counselor USA, CIEE, BUNAC and AIPT to name a few). Another company that works with companies or individuals who require U.S. inbound visa services is VisaNow.
Some US companies in our database also have limited numbers of H2B visas. They are limited and it is completely dependent on the employers. US Citizens
If you are a US citizen trying to work abroad, you have the same challenge, but the visa issues will be different depending on the country to which you are traveling. Check out our section on Passports and Visas. There are also other
