The International Modeling Arena
Becoming a recognized international model is the aspiration of many models and starting out in the industry you will have to work for a long time doing as many jobs as possible to make this status.
The international model will be used in the world famous fashion shows and will work with only the top designers like Victoria Secret, Vera Wang, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Versace.

The fame that comes with this might be a big jump for many people and you have to have a strong character to handle the pressures, lifestyle and spotlight that comes with it.
Sometimes the international modeling scene does not mean that you are a ramp model, but you can also be entered into pageants like Miss World. If you want to go down this path, you should be aware of other modeling jobs that you do, for example rather steer clear from doing advertisements for sanitary towels, and other products that might have a negative affect on your chances in a contest of this nature.
Being an international cover girl or face of a cosmetic company is one of the highlights for many models. This status will only be done after many years in the industry if you have the right image that the company wants to portray.
To be the face of Revlon, Maybelline or Yardley is a real honor that you can achieve by working hard and keeping healthy. Eventually you can create your own perfume label, clothing label, accessory label and more, if you become famous enough.
Keeping your options open when it comes to traveling for fashion shows and shoots will stand you in good stead for making international connections and meeting al sorts of high powered people in the modeling industry who can help you in your career ambitions. You should be prepared to travel a lot and be available for lots of fashion shows, photographic shoots and attend as many functions and fashion events as you can. Get your face out there and market yourself to boost your career. Your agent can and will help you to do this if you speak to them about what you want, after you have working for them for a while and have a good reputation and comprehensive portfolio.
Male models are not often heard about in the international modeling scene and there are very few real male supermodels. The top male models today are Marcus Schenkenberg, Jason Shaw, Tyson Beckford, and Travis Fimmel. Male models can attend many functions and travel overseas for shoots and ramp work for higher paying jobs and more recognition. The more you are seen, the more people will use you and request you for their shows and ad campaigns. The world famous male models are usually the face of a brand and are frequently used for fragrances, clothing, and body products like Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger.
