Texas Hold'em is a fantastic game to play over the internet and thus is the most popular internet poker game at online poker websites. Texas Hold'em Best and Worst Starting Hands The five best personal card combinations, in rank order, are: 1) Ace- Ace:
This is the absolute best combination, and will lead to a win more than any other starter cards. This combination is also known as "American Airlines," "pocket rockets," and "bullets." 2) King- King: A player with this 2nd- best combination has a great chance at winning. Kings are also known as "cowboys." 3) Queen- Queen: A pair of queens is an excellent hand, only beaten by kings and aces. 4) Ace- King:
This hand, while strong, is very dependent on the flop in order to find a pair for either card. 5) Jack- Jack: A pair of jacks will win around 20% of the time- if the flop has no queen, king, or ace, your odds are much greater. There are also certain combinations of personal cards that, if you are unlucky enough to be dealt, you should probably fold immediately. The worst cards, from most to least hopeless: 1) 2- 7:
This is the absolutely worst hand in Texas Hold'em. Even if they are suited, your only possibility is a very low flush. If these are your personal cards, fold immediately. 2) 2-8: Only a little by better than a 2-7. Fold. 3) 3-8 or 3-7: The 3-8 can't give you a straight, and the 3-7 beats almost nothing. 4) 2-6: This combination will lose about 90% of the time. It could result in a straight, if the flop is 3-4-5, or in a low flush. 5)
2-9, 3-9, or 4-9: These hands are slightly better than those mentioned above because of the 9. If the 9 pairs with a 9 in the flop, you might have a fighting chance, but will still be beaten by a pair of 10s, jacks, queens, kings, or aces. Seven Card Stud Poker Online >>> |
