STATE OUTDOOR JOBS - ACCOMMODATIONS

As with federal seasonal jobs, accommodations with state agencies vary widely. Because many seasonal workers are locals or those who commute from nearby towns, housing often is not provided, especially for jobs in or near urban areas. When housing is provided it's typically shared accommodations in a bunkhouse, cabin, or apartment, depending on where the position is located. Backcountry or remote job locations typically have housing for seasonal workers, though it may be in a tent or some other rustic shelter.
