MLB Jobs and Baseball Internships

Major League Baseball (MLB) is the regulatory body governing the National League and the American League for this professional-level sport.

The two Leagues are made up of a total of 30 teams. Twenty-nine of the clubs are located in cities in the United States, and one team, the Toronto Blue Jays, is situated in Canada.

The baseball season runs from the beginning of April to the beginning of October each year. Playoffs mean that fans of the sport can enjoy the action until late October or even into November, depending on how the schedule is determined.

Working for Major League Baseball

Careers in baseball include positions in the Commissioner's office, as well as opportunities with MLB Advanced Media, L.P. (MLBAM). The latter company is responsible for managing the official MLB web site, as well as individual web sites for each of the clubs that make up the League. MLBAM also distributes online streaming audio and video of all games played during the regular season, up to the final game of the World Series. The MLB Network broadcasts live games, highlights and other visual content to approximately 53 million households in the United States.
