Postal Service in Hungary

The Hungarian Postal Service is much more efficient than the telephone system.

Airmail letters and small packages travel between Hungary and North America in roughly seven to ten days. If you don't have a stable address you can receive mail poste restante, or through the American Express office in Budapest, if you have an American Express card or American Express traveler's checks. (The services available through American Express can be invaluable, so get their checks or a card if you can.) Send or receive mail at:
