USING THE MAIL IN POLAND
Poland's postal system (PTT) may be more efficient than
its telephones, but don't expect too much. Airmail letters and small packages to and from Poland take a week or two, at the very least.
Poste restante is your best bet if you don't have a stable address,
or if you expect to receive larger packages. Make sure you're going to the main post office to pick up your poste restante mail, unless the sender knows to specifically designate the nearest post office (particularly important in the larger cities).If you have an American Express card or carry American Express traveler's checks, you can receive mail (letters and small parcels only) at any American Express office.
