Don’t Apply For One Of These Unhappy Jobs

Do you want to be happy? Nearly everyone in the world is going to answer this question with a big YES. Everyone strives to be happy, but happiness is harder to find than you might think.

According to CNN a few years ago, nearly half of workers are unhappy with their jobs. If you’re unhappy with your job, it’s up to you to make a change. Change can be scary, but it’s totally worth it!

We found an interesting article about a survey that CareerBliss performed. The article shines the spotlight on the unhappiest jobs in America. They studied 24,000 employee evaluations from over 250 jobs to identify each jobs’ “bliss score.”

The bliss score is based on:

  • Work-Life Balance
  • Relationship With Coworkers
  • Work Environment
  • Job Resources
  • Compensation
  • Growth Opportunities
  • Company Culture
  • Daily Tasks

Take a minute and rank your job based on these categories using a scale from 1 to 5. How does your job stack up? Are you in an unhappy job? The study showed that the lowest ranks were in growth opportunities.

Now think of all the jobs in the world? What’s the unhappiest job out there? I think most of us can agree that jobs like Embalmer, Coroner, or Road Kill Collector are not the most pleasant. But none of these even made the list of unhappy jobs.

Take a look at this list of unhappy jobs:
