What I’m Reading This Thanksgiving Weekend

I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving, with just enough turkey and plenty of other things to be thankful for.

I know that the last thing you probably want to be doing this weekend is looking for a job.

But there’s no rest for the weary, right?  To help keep you motivated, I have found some great posts and articles to share with you.  Happy reading.

>> Questions for the Interview @ Lambentpath.  This is a new-to-me blog, which I found on Wednesday while writing my post about the Top 5 Career books.  Included in that list is the similarly themed 201 Best Questions To Ask On Your Interview.

>> Reason to give thanks: There is no job shortage for young people @ my very favorite career blog, Penelope Trunk’s Blazen Careerist. After reading all the comments, I’m not sure I completely agree with her conclusion.  But it sure is a positive outlook in this otherwise bleak looking economy.

>> What I’m Thankful For This Thanksgiving: Online Networking @ Career Hub. Yet again, a good reminder to avail yourself of social networking if it at all makes sense for your career goals.

>> Linked In & What Color is Your Parachute @ Zale Tabakman.  Here’s another new (to me) blog, this one out of Canada, with an absolutely wonderful article on the intersection between “What Color Is Your Parachute” (one of my all-time favorite career books) and using Linked In.  If you’re not familiar with LinkedIn, I talked about it briefly on my post about networking online.  To learn more, spend some time at Zale’s blog — he has lots of posts about the virtues of LinkedIn.

That’s it for me this week’s link love.  Hope you have a wonderful and productive weekend!
