Get Paid To Be A Ski or Snowboard Instructor

We know it’s still a few months before snow starts to fall, but are you wondering what you should do for work this winter? Why not head to the mountains and find a job as a snow sports instructor?

There are ski resorts all over the world and they all need instructors to teach guests how to ski or snowboard. As an instructor, you spend your days on the snow. That’s right, your office is the mountain and the chairlifts. You have tons of acres to play, and of course work too.

Every day is different as a snow sports instructor. Some days you spend with beginner children teaching them how to get in and out of their gear. Other days you may teach a group of teens how to weave through the trees or you might get to charge the mountain’s hardest lines with adults clients. Teaching lessons is a blast. As you develop your client’s skills and mechanics, you also become a better rider and skier yourself. It’s the perfect combo.

Typically ski resorts offer instructors a free lift pass and often employee housing too. When you land one of these jobs, you get to live, play, and work on the mountain – talk about living the vacation. If you do get hired, one winter season can quickly lead to a long term, fun-filled, mountain lifestyle.

Nearly every ski resort has a snow sports school – and most of them are hiring for this winter. Remember that most resorts hire in the Fall for the upcoming season. Now is the time to start your job search. You can always find the latest winter sports job listings on JobMonkeyJobs.
