Disaster Relief
It's tragic whenever a natural disaster occurs. Whether it's an earthquake and tsunamis like those that struck Japan on March 11, 2011 or the tsunami waves that devastated the coastlines of India, Sri Lanka and Malaysia in 2004. Many NGOs have been established to aid, partly through volunteers, not only in the rehabilitation of the villages along the coastline, but to continue to find temporary housing options for those who have been displaced.
