The Bureau of Labor Statistics is a fantastic resource for any job seeker. The BLS is a US Government Agency that is devoted to fact finding about labor economics and statistics. One report that we have found particularly useful is the May 2013 National Occupational Employment and Wage Estimates.
This reports explores the hourly and annual wages of different job sectors. It has statistical information on over 1000 jobs. We chose to focus on the Mean Hourly Wage. Throughout the complete list, the Mean Hourly Wage ranges from $9.07 for a fast food cook to $113.01 for an anesthesiologist. We focused on 22 jobs that make between $35 and $40 per hour:

All of these jobs would be wonderful career options for you. They all make an awesome hourly wage. Most of these jobs are not entry level positions. To earn these wages you would have to put in both time and effort. Many require higher education and others require building your professional experience over many years.
