"Working at a theme park was one of the most incredible things that I have done. One of the things that I enjoyed the most was the chance to communicate with so many people. On any given day, I would host guests from either my hometown, or from cities halfway around the world. I learned to interact with guests of many different cultures, backgrounds and abilities. Above all, I learned how to make all of my guests' visits magical and memorable. At the end of the day, the most rewarding thing was the feeling that I'd created memories that would literally last a lifetime.

"As for the hiring process, my best advice is to be outgoing. A theme park employee interacts with thousands of people on a daily basis. You must demonstrate that you can handle this. You must be able to treat any guest as if he or she was the first person you've approached the entire day. Many jobs involve communicating with large groups of people, so any previous experience with public speaking or acting would definitely be helpful."
