Encountering Racism in Eastern Europe

You should be aware that racism in Eastern Europe is also part of the culture.

Similar to Eastern Germany, since 1993 there has been a notable increase in "racial attacks" against Romany groups, non-whites, Jewish people, and homosexuals. As with women, our advice is to try and avoid risky situations and quietly remove yourself if you get into one.
