Taiwan English Language School Hiring

There are more and more legitimate schools opening in Taiwan, and most have multiple branches. The best job-search approach is go to Taiwan on a visitor visa - summers are the best hiring time - and then find a school at which to teach. Although some schools will accept a resume and cover letter from the United States, most schools will not be willing to apply for a working visa for you until you have an interview and they have seen you teach; however, if you are serious about teaching, willing to commit for at least a year, and have some EFL experience, you will not have much difficulty finding a job teaching after arriving in Taiwan.
