New York Casinos

New York has a number of tribal casinos available for residents and tourists. In this state, the legal gambling age varies by casino. In some locations, it is 18, while in others it is 21. You must, however, be able to show identification at the door. New York gambling laws are very strict.

Gambling in New York is a popular pastime for residents and visitors alike. Casinos offer a number of gaming choices, including video gambling and slot machines. Gaming in the state is controlled by the Johnson Act, which allows gambling cruise ships to operate in local and international  waters.

Some casinos in New York, especially those catering to international high rollers, have very strict dress codes, as well as higher minimum betting rules.
