Pennsylvania Casinos

Pennsylvania came a bit late to the gambling party, until 2004, only racetracks were found in this state, other than their popular state-run lottery. However, an act introduced in July of that year expanded Pennsylvania’s gambling options by adding over 60,000 slot machines in 14 different locations.

Today, this state is also home to a few casinos, most notably facilities in the Pocono Mountain area. Currently, these casinos are highly regulated, with only slot machines and video machines in operation, but all of Pennsylvania’s casinos are lobbying for permission to add table games to their facilities. For now, if you visit a Pennsylvania casino, you can expect hundreds of gaming terminals, as well as a variety of places to eat and drink. You have to be 21 to enter a casino in this state, although legal age limits are lower at horse tracks.
