Casino Slot Technicians Make Sure all the Slots are Working as they Should be

Casino Slot Technicians

People working as slot technicians (also known as slot mechanics) usually must have specialized training in the field or have a background in electronics or mechanics. They are responsible for overhauling, troubleshooting, and repairing slot equipment. Since a large portion of the profits at today’s casinos are generated through the use of slot machines, the technician is a very important person indeed. Technicians must be dependable, as they often work on tight schedules, attending to several machines during a shift. Typically, there is little turnover in this job, so there are not a lot of entry-level positions. However, as new casinos open, additional slot technician jobs will be created. Pay is either hourly or salary, up to about $40,000 a year, without the benefit of tips.
